My sister in law has the most fabulous wedding china from Kate Spade. For her housewarming gift I painted the pattern onto a giant canvas.
You know they'll like the painting because they already love the pattern, and it could go great in a dinning room. The biggest cost involved is the time invested in painting it, so they know it's a gift from the heart.
